Lincolnshire Co-operative set out to create their first co-working office to meet the growing demand for tech start-ups in the area. Completed in January 2020, the first phase of the Mosaic Co-Working space was designed to be the foundation for a series of serviced offices across the region. The environment fostered agility, growth, and networking opportunities—especially for university graduates looking for a space where new businesses could thrive.

Four years on, after the challenges posed by COVID-19, the second phase of Mosaic was completed in October 2023. The first phase provided valuable insights into how the space functioned for tenants, allowing us to refine the design with a strong user-focused approach. This time, Lincolnshire Co-operative aimed to attract new tenants while enhancing the street presence and improving the experience from the front door to the workspace.

Fresh splashes of paint and bold graphics revitalized the large walls, while a redesigned reception area introduced bespoke furniture that seamlessly blended with the architecture. From dedicated tenant offices to flexible co-working spaces, Lincoln now boasts a dynamic environment that continues to support the city’s growing business infrastructure.
